Suresh Mathai is a senior management executive with a deep and extensive background and expertise in direct marketing/advertising as well as software/ technology. His broad experience ranges from start-ups to multinational
corporations in the US and the Asia Pacific region. He co-founded, built and sold two technology companies, and has
worked as President/CEO of two multinational companies that he built into formidable operations in the Asia Pacific region. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the
DMA (Direct Marketing Association)
and
IDEX (International Development Exchange).
He is also Chairman & Co-founder of
ThinkDimensions, Inc.
In 2003, Suresh joined ContinuumGlobal. Among various engagements, he held management responsibility for two portfolio companies: CEO ofXPFLOW Software, Inc. (enterprise software for the licensing industry) and Senior Vice President, eForce, Inc., a technology services BPO organization.
Suresh was CEO of Exmplar, Inc., a leading venture-backed e-marketing software and services company that delivers next-generation personalization and analytics solutions for major national and international Fortune 1000 marketers like Staples, Kraft, Interactive Corporation, etc.
Previously, he co-founded Planet Intra.Com – a knowledge management SaaS software company competing with eRoom, Sharepoint and Lotus Notes. He secured financing, built the business, a customer franchise of more than 2,000 companies
and managed the shareholder exit via a sale to Inclusion Technologies, Inc.
Before that, Suresh co-founded Pacific Connections Ltd. – a web-based solutions development company that grew to become
a leading brand in the Asia market. In 1998, he led the shareholder exit through a profitable sale to China.Com, Inc (NASDAQ:CHINA).
From 1994-97, Suresh was the President Asia for Rapp Collins Worldwide (an Omnicom Group Company), with responsibility for setting up the company's Asian operations in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Jakarta, and Singapore.
From 1982-94, Suresh was with the J. Walter Thompson Company (a WPP Group Company) in various markets and positions, most recently as President of JWT Dialog Asia Pacific (headquartered in Hong Kong) and Senior Partner Worldwide with operational and P&L responsibility for 11 offices in 9 countries.
Suresh received his Bachelor of Science degree from St Stephen’s College, New Delhi. He has attended executive management programs at MIT, Duke and Babson.
