POSITION SUMMARY

The Data Analyst for Digital Marketing will work onsite with one of our leading clients and most recognizable brands in the world, based in Silicon Valley. The candidate will be working closely with a senior analyst at Continuum to support all data-related needs such as building, maintaining, and executing data pipelines to support marketing campaign infrastructure and building ad hoc dashboards to meet the needs of the business and marketing team. The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and have the ability to work independently and with a team.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain data pipelines to support marketing and campaign infrastructure; ensure all SLAs are met and 100% data accuracy is achieved
  • Build dashboards for strategic business areas to monitor progress and performance
  • Handle ad hoc data requests and build processes / tools to automate when needed
  • Assist business analyst with experimentation design and campaign measurement
  • Write, understand, and execute on Business Requirements Documents

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • 3+ years’ experience working with fast-moving marketing teams in a data analyst or development capacity
  • Experience managing Quality Assurance testing on data pipelines, ensuring deployment is correct for account segmentation and personalization
  • Comfortable working with customer data sets larger than 50 GB
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to think outside the box and independently figure out how things work
  • Exceptional work ethic, ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines and demonstrate enthusiasm towards colleagues and clients

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Required:

  • BS degree in a technical / quantitative discipline (e.g., computer science, statistics, operations research) or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong database experience including proficiency in SQL and query optimization
  • Experience working with multiple large data sources and combining relevant information to generate insights from analyses; creating effective reporting solutions (e.g. dashboards, tables, metrics)
  • Proven success record in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Nice to Have:

  • Data Warehousing (e.g. storage methods/formats, database design) involving large data sets
  • Development experience in at least one scripting language (PHP, Python, Perl, etc.)
